How Cardel and Outseta compare
Outseta is the quiet workhorse behind many paid memberships and small SaaS products. Subscription billing, authentication and gated content, a CRM, email marketing, and a support desk come together so a founder can add a paying membership to any site they already have. It is well designed, honest, and built by people who use it.
Cardel provides a home for your craft. Share and sell your work, grow your audience, and bring your community together on a site of your own. Cardel is not a membership system: there is no recurring billing, paywall, or member login for users to view your content.
Where they are different
Outseta attaches to a site you build elsewhere. Cardel is the site, with blog, Showcase, Shop, video catalog, reader comments, SEO, and accessibility built in.
Outseta bills subscriptions. Cardel sells items and bookings through Stripe, one purchase at a time.
Outseta's support desk handles tickets. Cardel's Messaging Center gathers reader chat, contact form, and email on your own domain with AI Suggest.
Choose Outseta when you sell a subscription and need billing, logins, CRM, and support in one place behind your own site.
Choose Cardel when you want the site itself plus audience, shop or bookings, and inbox on one domain, and you are not selling a subscription.
You are the Forgemaster. Cardel is your forge. What you build is yours.
