Cardel MCP
Build and edit your site in conversation with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Grok, Muse, or Gemini.
Build your site with the AI agent you already use
If you already work through ideas with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Grok, Muse, or Gemini, you can build your Cardel site there too. Cardel MCP connects your agent to your site, so you describe what you want and your agent sets it up with you. MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is the open standard these assistants use to work with other apps. You don't need to know how it works. You copy one line, paste it into your agent, and sign in.

One line to get started
Choose Connect your agent in Guided Mode, Editor Mode, Settings, or on the Cardel MCP page. Cardel copies a short setup prompt. Paste it into your agent, and it reads Cardel's setup guide, connects itself where it can, and walks you through the rest. If you'd rather add the connection by hand, each of the six agents has its own steps on the Cardel MCP page, including its desktop app and command line.
Sign in with your Cardel account when your agent asks. Then name the site you want to work on, or ask for a new one and your agent creates it with you.

The same steps as Guided Mode, in conversation
Your agent follows the steps Guided Mode does, one question at a time: the site name, soft or sharp corners, the theme and fonts, your logo and tagline, which pages belong, the words on each page, the header, the home page, and the footer. It can create Showcase and Shop pages, fill them with items, and set up your community channels. It asks before adding a blog, a community, or a newsletter, and it can choose your email From name and whether a new blog post emails your subscribers.
Skip anything you're not ready to decide. Keep your site open in another tab, and it refreshes as each step is saved, so you see the page change while you talk. Guided Mode and your agent save to the same site, so you can switch between them and pick up where you left off.
Keep changing it after launch
Your agent isn't only for the first version. Once your site is set up, ask it to rewrite your About page, reorder the header, change what sits under your home page hero, update the footer, add an item to your Shop, or try a different theme. Changing the name in your header doesn't change your address. When your site has more than one Shop or Showcase page, your agent names the one it's changing, and it can remove an item or a whole page when you ask.

Photos without the fuss
Your agent asks for the photos it needs: your home page photo, an About portrait, a blog image, your logo, and a photo for each Shop or Showcase item. Share a direct link to the image, attach it in ChatGPT, or open the upload link your agent shows you and choose the file. That link works once and expires after 15 minutes. Add your logo, and Cardel builds your brand kit from it, the same way it does in Brand.
Answers from Cardel's own documentation
Ask how something works in the middle of a build, like how a workflow sends email or what changes when you publish. Your agent reads the same Documentation you see in Admin and explains what that article says, instead of guessing at screens or steps that don't exist.
You stay in charge
Your agent builds. You decide what goes live. It can't publish your site or open Admin for you. Choosing a plan, reviewing your Terms and Privacy, connecting Stripe, and setting up a custom domain all happen in your browser, and your agent hands you the link when it can't complete the task itself. It can walk you through your Terms and Privacy and answer questions about them, but you review them and you check the box. It never sees a card number, as the checkout happens securely through Stripe.
When your site is private, nothing your agent changes reaches your readers. On a live site, a saved change shows up the same way a save you make yourself does.

Connected on your terms
Connect more than one agent, and let one agent work on more than one of your sites. Your agent only reaches the sites you've connected, and only within your own access. Settings lists each connected agent, the sites it can edit, and when it was last used. Disconnect one site or all of them whenever you want. Signing out of Cardel leaves your agent connected, so you can keep working. Changing or resetting your password disconnects every agent.
How it works
Choose Connect your agent and copy the setup prompt.
Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Grok, Muse, or Gemini, and sign in with Cardel.
Name your site, or create one, and answer your agent's questions one at a time.
Open the link it gives you to choose a plan, review your Terms and Privacy, and publish.
A few things worth knowing
Connecting is free, and building a private site costs nothing. Publishing requires a paid plan (See pricing). The Workspace Owner can set up and edit a site with an agent, and an Admin with Editor Mode or Guided Mode access can edit a live site. Muse is available in the US and Canada, and Gemini needs a personal Google account for now. Your agent's own plan and limits come from that product, rather than Cardel. Cardel MCP is separate from the AI Assistant in Admin, so it does not use your site's monthly AI allowance.
