Channels and posts on your site, so the conversation has a home next to your work.
A blog is you speaking. Community is the room next door, where members start the thread. It lives on your site, in your theme, at /community. On cardel.io that same idea is the Forum. It is not a separate site address.
What this is for
You want discussion that is public, organized by topic, and still yours to moderate. You do not want a second product to sign in to.
What you can do
Readers open Welcome, then a channel. Guests can read. Posting and commenting need a signed-in, verified email. Likes need a sign-in. The author of a post can edit it for 24 hours. You add, rename, reorder, and archive channels on the page itself. There is no Community tab in Admin. A channel can be Admin-only for new posts, while members can still comment. Archive hides a channel from readers and from the site map. Old links still open. Nothing new can be posted there until you restore it.
How it works
Show Community in Page builder when you want it in the header.
Open the page and add the channels you need.
Write a welcome that says what belongs there.
Members post, comment, and like. You archive or delete when something should go.
Good to know
Existing sites start with Community hidden, so a header does not change until you show it. Starter includes one channel. Pro allows five live channels. Studio does not cap them. If you later drop a plan, extra channels stay readable and new ones wait until you are back under the cap. On cardel.io, manage this page as the Forum.
