Payments
Connect your own Stripe account once, and people can buy directly through your site.
Get paid on your site
Before people can buy directly on your site, your Shop needs a safe way to take their card. Payments is where you connect Stripe to do that, and it only takes a few minutes.
Built on Stripe, the official way
Payments runs on Stripe Connect, Stripe's own system for platforms like Cardel. You set everything up related to the payment on Stripe's pages, not Cardel's. Your business details, identity check, and bank account all go through Stripe. Cardel never sees your bank details or your buyers' card numbers.
Your money, your Stripe account
Every sale runs on your own Stripe account, and you get the full Stripe dashboard to go with it. Money goes into your account and pays out to your bank on Stripe's schedule. Cardel doesn't hold your money in between.
Cardel takes a 0.5% fee on each card sale, automatically, at the moment of the sale. Stripe's own processing fees still apply.
Always in sync with Stripe
Cardel keeps an eye on your Stripe status for you. If Stripe ever needs more information, Payments tells you exactly that, and your buy buttons let buyers know instead of failing at checkout. You can pick up right where you left off. Every update from Stripe is verified before Cardel acts on it. For payouts and tax forms, you can jump straight to your Stripe dashboard from here.

How it works
Open Payments as the Workspace Owner.
Click Connect with Stripe and fill in what Stripe asks for, on Stripe's own pages.
Wait until Payments says you're ready to accept Shop payments.
Set your Shop items to buy on this site. Paid sales show up in Orders.
A few things worth knowing
Shop payments come with Pro and Studio. Only the Workspace Owner sees Payments. Admins with Orders access can fulfill sales, but they can't change the Stripe connection. Stripe accounts connected through Cardel are currently set up for businesses based in the United States. On Starter, your Shop items can still link out to wherever you already sell.
